- 1 lb ground bison
- 1 pouch Winking Girl! Classic Taco Skillet Sauce
- ½ green pepper (diced)
- ¼ yellow or white onion (diced)
- 2 Tbsp breadcrumbs or panko (or almond flour for a Paleo-friendly version)
- Salt and pepper (use generously)
Preheat the oven to 350° F. Divide the pouch Winking Girl! Classic Taco Skillet Sauce in half.
In a large bowl, combine half the sauce and the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Place meat mixture into a 9×5” loaf pan, making sure to leave a space near one end of the pan for the oil to seep out while cooking. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
Remove loaf from oven and pour the rest of the Winking Girl! Taco Skillet Sauce over the top of the loaf. Place back in to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15 minutes.
Let cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm with vegetables, rice, or potatoes. Try with our Cranberry-Mango Sauteed Greens for the perfect cold-weather, comfort food meal.
